Exercise your olfactories with some great wines of the world! Taste wines blind, which is not only a lot more fun and mysterious, it is much more educational. When you don''t know anything about the wine you taste, you think about it and analyze it differently, using a different set of tools. With a specialized sensory evaluation kit, LearnAboutWine will assist you in describing what you taste and expressing what you like and don''t like in wine. Come sharpen your palate, expand your wine vocabulary and have some fun doing it!

When: 6:00 to 6:30 PM check-in; 6:30 to 8:30 PM wine tasting; 8:30 PM stay for dinner at Nic''s (half-off Mondays!) and enjoy 50% off any wine from the wine list.

Details: Tasting/class will begin at 6:30. You will be welcomed with a blind taste of wine and appetizers. We''ll break into groups, and LearnAboutWine will lead us through the various wines and encourage us to use the sensory bar to evaluate them. Each group will describe the wine as other tables sample each and follow along. Prizes! (such as LearnAboutWine class/event gift certificates and new book The Pleasure of Wine) will be awarded for:
-best description
-most creative description
-best guess

Full bar and dinner menu will be available after the tasting for anyone who wishes to stay.
